Mark "The Mechanic" Atanovich

Mark was thrown into poker kicking and screaming. A tightwad by nature, the thought of risking real money on a “game of chance” was a bit too much for him to handle. Mark’s best friend Kevin O’Donnell had always seen his potential and in 2011 finally convinced him to start playing free poker at his bar. In short time Mark was obsessed with the game and began spending three nights a week honing his poker skills in the bar’s small free tournaments and $10 cash games. In 2014 Mark won a seat to a WSOP event, where he finished just outside the money. Inspired by this result he entered the 2014 Arizona State Poker Championship and finished 6th, taking home some serious coin. Needless to say, Mark now believes poker is a lot more than a game of chance! The boy is hooked.

Outside of poker, Mark enjoys cycling, golf and spending time with his homies, his girlfriend and their two Boston Terriers.
